Jon McCartney

Jon has been with Double Eagle since 2013 and previously served as Chief Counsel and Senior Vice President - Land and Legal of the predecessor Double Eagle entities.

He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BBA in Finance and Accounting with special distinction and received his JD from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law graduating cum laude.

Jon is Board Certified in Oil, Gas, and Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and was recognized in Oil and Gas Investor’s 2023 “Forty under 40” honorees. He is a member of the Texas Bar Association and Oklahoma Bar Association and serves on the board of directors for the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers as well as CASA of Tarrant County. He lives in Fort Worth with his wife and three children.
